Girga

Coptic Ⲧⲓⲛ (Tin) is a city in the Upper Egyptian Sohag Governorate. It is located on the west bank of the Nile River.
Girga's name is said to have derived its from Mara Girgis Coptic Monastery Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria[4] is dedicated to St. George[5]. Girga is the seat for the Coptic Bishop. Reportedly, the oldest Roman Catholic monastery is located in Girga. The El-Sini (Porcelain Mosque) is located in Girgia.
